The Longines World Equestrian Academy is proud to introduce our newest member of the LWEA rider team. The 22-year-old Chinese national Alice Yunyun Wang left her home at the age of 16 to finish her high school education in Great Britain while getting the opportunity to train with Richard Barton in West Yorkshire during that time. After finishing high school, Alice moved to Germany to be part of the Stolmeijer stables in Emsbüren. Since training with Rudi Stolmeijer alongside his 20-year-old daughter Kathrin, Alice has had fantastic show results. Competing her three horses Power Ball, Meddalist and Unex What A Carnute K up to 1,40m level, she’s been able to highly place and win constantly over the past years all while keeping her main focus on her Bachelor’s studies in Communication Science at the University of Twente, Enschede.
“It’s an honor to be part of the LWEA rider team. Educating not only riders but equestrian professionals from all trades and making this knowledge available throughout the whole world is a very important mission. Especially in Asia, I think that we can still learn a lot from the European horse industry. Therefore, I’m proud to be representing the Longines World Equestrian Academy from now on”, says Alice about her appointment to the LWEA rider team. Supported by her parents and the Stolmeijer team, we’re sure that we will see even more great results from Alice in the future.
